The Lady Wolves wanted to start fast in their first round game of the AAAAA state playoffs and they did just that by scoring the first 11 points in the opening period.  Senior Marissa Bruce scored the first eight points of the game and got the Lady Wolves on the right track in their first step in pursuing the championship title. The Lady Bulldogs from Decatur did not know what hit them as the Lady Wolves relentless defense forced turn over after turnover that was converted to easy transition points.  Another 11-0 start in the third quarter sealed the victory for Buford with the final score being 73 to 38 and now the Lady Wolves move on to the next round of the playoffs.  Audrey Weiner was the top scorer for the Lady Wolves as she scorched the nets for 18 points, while Bruce chipped in 14 points for the winning cause.  The Lady Wolves also dominated the glass as both Z Wright and Jessica Nelson pulled down 9 rebounds each to give the Lady Wolves a 32 to 12 rebound advantage for the game.
