The Lady Wolves made it back to back 8AAAAA region titles as they defeated the Lady Falcons of Flowery Branch for the third time this year by the score of 49 - 41.  The gym at Johnson was packed to see the action between these two state ranked teams and the game did not disappoint all the fans in the stands.  The two heavyweights slugged it out in the first two quarters and when the half time buzzer sounded, the Lady Wolves held a slight two point lead 25 to 23.  The third quarter would be the difference as the Lady Wolves changed gears and used their relentless half court defense to hold the Lady Falcons to only 3 points during this quarter and outscored the Branch by 10 points to give the Lady Wolves a little breathing room.  The final quarter saw both teams make runs and when the final buzzer sounded, the Lady Wolves claimed another region title and win over the Lady Falcons.

Region player of the year Tory Ozment had a super game and scored 20 points, while Tate Walters added 11 points in the winning effort.

This will be the third region championship in this group of senior's 4 year career and another trip to the state tournament in search of their third state championship.  

The Lady Wolves will host the Lady Longhorns from Kell this Friday night at 6:00 in the beautiful Buford City Arena.
