The Lady Wolves are Macon bound again to play in the 5A State Championship game.  This will make back to back state championship appearances  for the ladies in Kelly and Gold.  The Lady Wolves punched their ticket to the finals with a 60-46 win over the Lady Wildcats of Villa Rica.  It was a weird game from the start at Fort Valley State University this past Saturday as the Lady Wolves full court pressure made the Lady Wildcats turn the ball over and over, but Buford could never build a lead due to turnovers and missed opportunities themselves.  When the half time buzzer sounded, the score was tied 29 to 29 with neither team mounting an advantage.  The third quarter saw the Lady Wolves pull away from the visitors from Villa Rica and build a little momentum going into the fourth.  From there the Lady Wolves secured a double digit lead and never looked back as continued their march to the championship game.

Audrey Weiner lead all scores with 20 points and Tory Ozment added another 18 points to the winning cause.

With the win, the Lady Wolves will be playing in their eighth state championship in the last ten years.  What an amazing feat for our program.  The Lady Wolves will also take on region 8rival Flowery Branch in the championship game this Thursday at the Macon Centerplex at 6:00 pm.  Please tell all your friends and family to make the journey to Macon to cheer on the Lady Wolves as they look to make it back to back state championships.

Way to go ladies.  GOOOOOOOO WOLVES!!
