Buford baseball wins Perfect Game Showdown

Buford's baseball team defeated Coleman (Ala.) 2-1, Parkview 9-4 and Locust Grove 9-0 to win the title at the Perfect Game Showdown.

HOOVER, Ala. — Buford's baseball team defeated Coleman (Ala.) 2-1, Parkview 9-4 and Locust Grove 9-0 to win the title at the Perfect Game Showdown.

Sean Adams notched the win and Riley Stanford picked up the save against Coleman.

In the win over the Panthers, Grant Thomoff was the winning pitcher while Eli Ledford led the offense with a triple and two RBIs. Evan Place had a double and two RBIs and Caleb Elder went 2-for-3 and drove in a run.

Dylan McKinnis was the winning pitcher for the Wolves (8-4) against Locust Grove.
