Auburn baseball 2019 signing class: Ramsey David

AUBURN, Ala. – Right-handed pitcher Ramsey David joins the Auburn program and head coach Butch Thompson as another sought-after product from Georgia.
 
"The thing that initially drew me to Auburn is just how Coach Thompson and his staff take care of their pitchers," David said. "I'm extremely excited to be a part of this program that is producing so many good pitchers. To have a coaching staff that has my long-term, best interest at heart is very encouraging."
 
David is the No. 153 overall player in the 2019 class according to Perfect Game and was named a 2018 Perfect Game Preseason Underclass Third Team All-American. He competed in the 2018 Perfect Game National Showcase and was named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
 
"If I were to compare my game to a pitcher in the Big Leagues, I would say I compare most to Jacob DeGrom," David added. "I believe my mechanics, the natural motion of my arm and the depth of my slider are very similar."
