Congratulations to Tate Walters and her family as Tate has committed to continue her basketball career and education at Furman University.

Tate participated this past Wednesday night at the Buford signing ceremony and is now a future Lady Paladin of Furman.

See what Coach Durden had to say about Tate and her career here at Buford!

"I have had the blessing of coaching many great players over my career, but I don’t think I have ever coached a player that has gotten as much out of their potential and ability as Tate Walters. Tate is a great player, but she also has the unique ability to make other players around her better, which separates the difference between being a good player vs being a great player. She also has the unique ability to play any role that is needed for her team to have success. She is such an unselfish player that puts her team ahead of any individual goals or awards even though she is one of the most decorated players I have ever coached. I think Tate would be special on any team you put her on, but I am thankful she plays for the Kelly and Gold of Buford High School. She is one of few players that has lead her teams over the past three years to three state championships at Buford. With many choices to continue her basketball career and education, Furman University is the institute that Tate has chosen to take all her basketball talents to play for, but more importantly, all the character and uniqueness that makes her such a special young lady." Gene Durden

We are so proud of Tate and all the commitment and dedication she has shown for the Lady Wolves program and we wish her nothing but success in the next part of her journey through life!

GOOOOO WOLVES and GOOOOO TATE!!!
