The Lady Wolves continued their unbeaten streak this past week as they picked up two region 8AAAAA wins and also a good friendly rival win to bring their record to 20-0.  This is the first time in program history that Buford has no losses over their first 20 games.

The wins started last Tues in the Buford City Arena as the Lady Wolves dominated the Lady Gladiators of Clarke Central to continue their strangle hold on region 8AAAAA.  The Lady Wolves blasted the visitors by the score of 69 to 33.  All Lady Wolves played and contributed in the win.

Next up were the Lady Warriors of Walnut Grove on Friday night.  The Lady Warriors found the same fate in losing to the Lady Wolves by almost the same score of 67 to 32.  Again, all the Lady Wolves played and showed the strength of this pack.  This brings the Lady Wolves region record to a perfect 6-0  with only two weeks left in the regular season.

Saturday brought a new challenge as the Lady Wolves traveled to  the hostile territory of the upstart Jefferson Lady Dragons.  The Lady Dragons have been on a tear over the season and are the #2 ranked team in AAA.

The Lady Wolves showed their dominance early as they built up an eleven point lead after the first two quarters of play.  Their defensive full court pressure caused numerous Lady Dragon turnovers and the Lady Wolves sprinted to many transition baskets off the home teams mistakes.  The third quarter would not be as kind to the visitors as the Lady Dragons turned many Buford mistakes into a 14-4 quarter for the home team and put the Lady Wolves backs and their perfect record to the wall.

The ladies of Buford answered with a defensive stand that limited the home to to only 2 total points for the final quarter and gave the Lady Wolves their 20th win of the season by the score of 44 -36.  It was a game that both teams will use to draw from in the upcoming tournaments for both experience and competition.

The Lady Wolves will be back in action Tues Jan 21 as they travel to Johnson High School to play at 6:00.

GOOOOOO WOLVES!!!
