The Lady Wolves continued on their path for their 4th straight 5A state championship by defeating the Lady Yellow Jackets of Wayne County last night at the Buford City Arena by the score of 76 to 49.

Buford used balanced scoring and their traditional full court pressure to dispose of the visitors from south Georgia.  Their pressing defense caused 27 turnovers that resulted in many easy transition baskets in the Lady Wolves fast break offense.  It was another great team victory with many Lady Wolves contributing in many ways in the win.

Blair Wallis and Tatum Ozment each scored 14 points for the ladies in green, followed by Ashyia Willis scoring 12 to help in the cause.

Sara Viti added 8 points, along with Abbi Perkins 7 and Katelyn Kleins 6 points to add to the scoring for the Lady Wolves.

As mentioned before, it was a great team effort both offensively and defensively for the home team.

The Lady Wolves will face the Lady Trojans of Carrollton next Tuesday Feb 25 at the Buford City Arena.  Tip Off time will be 6:00 pm.
