The Lady Wolves took care of business and secured a place in the 5A State Championship game with a 52 to 30 victory over the Wolfpack of Woodland Henry.

The Lady Wolves packed up Saturday morning and traveled to Fort Valley University to play the Wolfpack in the Final Four showdown.

The Lady Wolves sputtered early in the first quarter, but found that defense travels as they forced the Wolfpack into 28 first half turnovers.  This defense by the ladies in kelly and gold helped to keep the other wolves at bay as Buford had a very poor shooting effort in the first 16 minutes of the game.  

From there it was all Buford as the Lady Wolves woke up from their offensive slumber and started to connect on the offensive end.

When the final buzzer sounded, the Lady Wolves would find themselves back in the championship hunt for their 8th state championship quest.  

Tate Walters lead the Lady Wolves with 23 points and countless big plays to lead the pack.  Blair Wallis was the only other double digit scorer and added 11 points to the win.

Many other Lady Wolves contributed on the defensive end to keep the other wolves at bay in this contest.  It was a great team effort!

The Lady Wolves will play the Lady Longhorns of Kell on Friday March 6 at the Macon Centerplex at 6:00 pm.

We need everyone to come and support this team as they take the last step in chasing the 5A state championship and bringing it back to Buford High School!
