Buford Wins "Battle of the Wolves" with 56-53 Win Over Rival Wesleyan

The Buford Wolves prevailed over the visiting Wolves from Wesleyan as the two traditional girls basketball powers clashed this past Saturday at the Buford City Arena.

Both teams came out with claws and fangs sharpened as the very physical game of momentum swung back and forth between the two teams.  The the halftime buzzer sounded, the two teams were tied at 27 each with solid performances from both squads were displayed.  

The game would be decided on many plays in the final minute, but none any bigger that a charge drawn by Jayla Gudz on Wesleyan's final possession to try and tie the game.  This play was the game changer and helped secure the win for the ladies in Kelly and Gold.

When the final buzzer sounded, the Lady Wolves came out on top by the score of 56 to 53 and established another year of bragging rights over the visitors from Norcross.  

The Lady  Wolves were lead by Tatum Ozment's 13 points followed by Betty Nauyen's 12 points.  Ava Grace Watson chipped in 9 points, followed by Tamori Plantin and Mackenzie Pickens 8 points each.

Great Win Ladies and now on to more region play!
