BUFORD — Buford’s baseball team won its fifth straight and complete the week’s three-game sweep of Mountain View with a 9-2 victory Friday in Region 8-AAAAAAA.

Ethan Murray was 1-for-1 with a three-run home run, sacrifice fly, four RBIs and two runs, and Cam Wood was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run to lead the Wolves’ offense. Cannon Goldin was 2-for-3 with two walks, three runs and three stolen bases, and Ian Chafin went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Buford (9-4, 3-0) got another strong outing from pitcher Damian Brown (2-0), who struck out nine and walked one over 4 2/3 innings. He gave up two earned runs on four hits.

Cooper Johnson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run to provide Mountain View's runs.
