DACULA — Samuel Zaa’s walk-off RBI double in the ninth inning gave Dacula a 7-6 victory over Buford in Region 8-AAAAAAA baseball.

It was the first region loss for Buford, which falls to 18-8-1 overall and 12-1 in region play. Daucla improves ot 17-11 and 7-7 in the region.

Zaa finished with three hits, while teammates Jared Glenn and D.J. Quary had two hits each. Harry Bouldin also had a three-run triple in the win.

Dacula’s Jared Glenn pitched four innings with five strikeouts, and Cody Bullard earned the win after pitching five scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

Nate Taylor (3-for-5, double, RBI, stolen base), Cam Wood (2-for-5, double, RBI, two runs), Graham Young (2-for-2) and Caleb Griffin (1-for-3, RBI, walk, first varsity hit) led the Buford hitters.
