Kylie Buchanan, Reagan Coleman and Kristen Edmond sign their letters of intent

In front of a room full of family members, friends, teachers, coaches, and administrators, three seniors signed for their respective universities to play soccer at the next level.

Kylie Buchanan signed with Mercer University, Reagan Coleman signed with Valdosta State University, and Kristen Edmond signed with the University of Georgia.

While at Buford, Kylie, Kristen, and Reagan were some of the most influential players on the field.  In 2015, the team went 14-2, won the Region 8AAAA title, and advanced to the elite 8 in the state tournament.  In 2016, the team went 18-3, won region 8AAAAA title, and advanced to semifinals losing an OT match to St Pius, the eventual state champions.  Last year, the team went 18-3-2, won region 8AAAAA title, and advanced to the state championship game.  This team was the  first in Buford History to play for the state final.  In total, these players have been part of 50 wins, 8 loses and 2 draws.  They have 3 region titles, with perfect 22-0 record in region play.  They advanced to the state playoffs all three years getting better and better each year.

Kristen Edmond played midfield and defender during her time at Buford.  She is a powerful and physical play who loves to play fast, never afraid of a tackle.  She knows how to have fun and cheer her teammates up when things look bad, but she is the ultimate competitor once the game starts.  She signed with the University of Georgia, coached by Billy Lesene, and will play in the SouthEastern Conference with a former teammate.

Kylie Buchanan is a fast and relentless player.  She loves the open field and was the best player in two big games  the last 2 years.  She sacrifices her body for the good of the team, yet with the amount of bruises and cuts she receives in each game she never once complained and was always at practice the next day with a big smile.  She signed with Mercer University, a Division I school, and she will play in the Southern Conference.

Reagan Coleman is a physical player, a great passer, and has one of the hardest shots on the team.  She is a compassionate and caring teammate, does what is needed for the team and none of it is for personal glory.  She gained tremendous amounts of confidence over the last two years and is now a team captain, she is one of her worst critics but that is simply because she has incredibly high expectations of herself.   She signed with Valdosta State University, a Division II university, and will play in the Gulf South Conference with a former teammate.
