The Lady Wolves got off to a fast start by winning their first three games in the Dacula Tip Off Classic over the Thanksgiving break.  In the first game of the season the Lady Wolves were on the hunt as they took down the Lady Bulldogs of North Gwinnett in the  by a score of 55 to 44.  Katelyn Klein lead the pack with 16 points in her first start of her career in the Kelly and Gold.  Many Lady Wolves contributed to the win and started the season off right beating their cross town rivals in 7A.

Next up was the athletic Lady Wildcats of Valdosta.  The  Lady Cats were stunned by the Lady Wolves playing their traditional  fast paced offensive and relentless pressing defense for 32 minutes.  When the dust cleared and the final buzzer sounded, the southern visitors were on the losing end of a 70 to 46 score.  Many Lady Wolves played great, but Tate Walters had one of her best all around games of her career as a Lady Wolf.  Tate scored 29 points and made many great offensive and defensive plays in this lopsided win.  Now the wolves were howling for the championship game vs the Lady Rams of Grayson.

In the championship game, the Lady Wolves started off slow and let the bigger, more athletic Grayson team control the boards and get many easy transition points off the Lady Wolves press.  After half time, the Lady Wolves settled down and turned up the heat on the Lady Rams as their relentless pressure defense caused many easy transition baskets .  After achieving a double digit lead going into the fourth quarter, the Lady Wolves went back into their half court defense and kept the Lady Rams from closing the gap on the score board.  When the horn sounded, the Lady Wolves were again champions on the floor at Dacula for the second year in a row by the score of 67 to 58.  Again, many Lady Wolves contributed to the championship victory in many ways both on offense and defense.  Blair Wallis lead the Lady Wolves in scoring this night with 15 points.  What a way to start off the season with this young group of wolves.

Katelyn Klein was recognized for her efforts in the tournament by being selected to the All Tournament team and Tate Walters was recognized as the Tournament's most valuable player.  Congrats to both of these young ladies as they represented the Lady Wolves program with great total team play.  Again, the Lady Wolves had many different players contribute in the three victories during this tournament.

GREAT JOB LADIES AND LETS GET READY TO RUN AND HUNT AGAIN!!!!

GOOOOOO   WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!
