The Lady Wolves found themselves in a back and forth war as they scratched and clawed out another win over the Lady Bears of Holy Innocents at the Buford City Arena this past Tuesday night.  The Lady Wolves sprinted out to a 5-0 run the first few minutes of the game, but from that point on, the lead would switch back and forth until the final buzzer sounded and the scoreboard showed a 48 to 45 win for Buford.

Both teams caused countless turnovers, but neither team could capitalize on the others mistakes.  The game would swing back and forth until the final three minutes when the Lady Wolves made some stellar offensive and defensive plays to gain a small lead.  Missed free throws by the Lady Wolves kept the Lady Bears in striking range and the final score of 48 to 45 was not concrete until the Lady Bears turned the ball over on their last possession to tie the game.

Nine different Lady Wolves contributed to the scoring column, but Tate Walters had the hot hand this night as she tallied 19 points.

This was not the Lady Wolves best offensive night as they did not value the ball and had many turnovers, but their relentless full and half court defense helped them pull out another win over the visitors from metro Atlanta.

This win keeps the Lady Wolves record as a perfect 7-0 against a quality schedule of opponents.

Way to go ladies and congrats on this hard fought win!

The Lady Wolves will be back in action this weekend as they participate in the Hawks Naismith Holiday Classic vs Norcross on Friday at 7:00 and then take the road again vs Newton at Archer High School on Saturday at 2:00 in the Gwinnett Metro Atlanta Challenge.

Come out and support our ladies this weekend and they continue to represent the Kelly and Gold with Buford pride.
