Kortney Herren

Head Coach

This is Coach Herren's third year with the Lady Wolves (first as Head Coach) and she is ecstatic to get the season started! Coach Herren played volleyball competitively for 11 years between middle school, high school, club ball, and college club ball. She is from St. Charles, IL which is where she played volleyball in MS, HS, and for Top Flight Volleyball Club as a DS/Libero. When she moved down to Georgia to attend UGA, she played for the UGA Women's club team for four years, two of which she was team captain.  She and her husband Kyle are avid travelers, and dog parents of 3 awesome boys! Coach Herren will be teaching Special Education here at BHS. 

Coach Herren has been coaching for many years. In high school she was a Junior coach for Top Flight Volleyball Club and coached girls anywhere from pre-K age to 14U. After she graduated from UGA, Coach Herren coached Varsity HS teams, JV HS teams, and a variety of club teams from 12U-18U. She was the director of Top Flight Georgia for 7 years and is currently a club coach with A5. She comes with a plethora of knowledge, volleyball IQ, and passion for the game! She cannot wait to teach, guide, and help lead the lady wolves to a plethora of wins on and off the court!

Hadli Daniels

Assistant Varsity Coach/ Director of Volleyball Operations

Coach Daniels is in her 20th year teaching at BHS, and was the varsity head coach for 12 of those years. She has enjoyed leading the program to its first state titles in 2015 and 2016, and then again in  2020, 2021, and 2022. Even more, Coach Daniels has loved watching her players grow as athletes and young women.

Coach Daniels is now the Assistant Varsity Coach as well as the Director of Volleyball Operations.

Coach Daniels grew up playing volleyball in Medway, MA and played at the University of Georgia from 1992-1996 . . . Go Dawgs! She received her B.S. from UGA and her MA.Ed. from NGCSU. Her husband, Juan, was also an athlete and graduate of UGA. Her older son, Aubrey, graduated from Buford in 2017 with six state championships in Theatre and Literary. Her younger son, Ashton, graduated in 2022 with 3 state championships in football, and is currently a QB at Stanford University. Her step-daughter, Braylen, is a cheerleader at BHS.

Gabbie Hogle

JV Head Coach

Coach Hogle is in her second year of teaching and coaching at Buford. She currently teaches 8th-grade science at Buford Middle School (BMS) and previously coached the 6th/7th-grade volleyball team.

Before joining Buford’s staff, Coach Hogle spent three years coaching club volleyball, including serving as a senior coach at Prolink Volleyball Club. A proud Buford native, she attended the school system from daycare through her graduation in 2019. As a student-athlete, she was part of a state runner-up and Final Four team under the leadership of Coach Daniels. During her club volleyball career, she won two national championships and continued her role as a team captain. After high school, Coach Hogle continued her volleyball career at Shorter University for two years before transferring to Brenau University, where she played for three more years.

With a strong background in both playing and coaching, Coach Hogle brings energy, knowledge, and encouragement to the Buford volleyball program. She is passionate about teaching the game and is dedicated to helping her athletes grow both on and off the court.


Amanda Medrow Myers

Assistant JV Coach

This is Amanda’s first year as assistant coach for the JV team. Last year she coached the 7th grade team at BMS as well as the 5/6th grade developmental team. Prior to joining the Buford staff, she coached 3 years of club volleyball and also coached for the middle school team at Sugar Hill Christian Academy. 

Amanda grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin playing club and school volleyball. She was a 4-year high school letter winner, and earned recognition as one of Volleyball Magazine's Fab 50 Recruits Class of '96. 

At Georgia Tech, Amanda played under Hall of Fame coach Shelton Collier and was a 4-year letter winner. She served as captain of the GT Volleyball team her senior year, and currently still holds a spot on the leaderboard for school records in service aces. During her time at GT, the program was consistently a top-25 team. 

Currently, Amanda loves living in Buford with her husband and three kids. Her two daughters play volleyball and her son plays baseball and basketball. She loves photography, cooking, playing tennis and anything outdoors.
