The Lady Wolves "finished the drill" as they won their third straight state championship this past Friday night with a 67 to 59 win over previously unbeaten Villa Rica at the Macon Centerplex.
This win gives the Lady Wolves a 29-2 record for the season and puts them as one of the top teams in the state in any classification.
It was a thrilling game from the start with many lead changes and so many Lady Wolves making both defensive and offensive plays in all parts of the game.
Here is how the media reported this incredible game for the ladies in Kelly and Gold.

Again, this win puts the cherry on top of the cake for this incredible season for this special group of young ladies that have represented the Kelly and Gold of Buford in so many wonderful ways.

We would also like to thank all the fans and supporters that have been with our program from the start to the finish of this incredible season. WE LOVE AND APPRECIATE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!
The Lady Wolves will be back in their third straight state championship game this Friday as they take on the undefeated Lady Wildcats of Villa Rica. This will mark the 9th time in the past 11 years that the Lady Wolves have played in the title game. This is a amazing task and shows the tradition of this remarkable program of excellence.
The game will be played on March 8 at the Macon Centreplex and the tip off time will be at 6:00. Our boys will be playing in the championship following the girls game.
We need a packed house of Kelly and Gold supporting these two programs as they chase Buford history in trying to win both the girls and boys titles.
Tell all your friends and family to come out and enjoy a Friday afternoon of great basketball as these young ladies and men continue to represent our school and community!
GOOOOOO WOLVES!!!! Let's get 1 more!!!!!
The Lady Wolves will again be on the hunt for their 3rd straight state championship after beating the Lady Panthers of Southwest Dekalb this past Saturday at Columbus State University. The Lady Wolves used their trademark pressure defense to hold the Lady Panthers way below their season scoring average and it was a good thing due to the Lady Wolves struggling to find their offensive flow. The Lady Wolves had a hard time finding their mark as countless shots bounced in and out and keep the visitors in the game. In the end, the Lady Wolves relentless pressure on SWD was the difference as the Lady Wolves were able to score in transition and create some easy points.
Tate Walters lead the Lady Wolves in the scoring column with 21 points and was the only player to muster double figure scoring. Many other players contributed points in the win and all played aggressive defense to come out with the W.
See what the Gwinnett Daily Post and Access North Georgia had to say about the win below.
This sets the stage for another state championship title game with the Lady Wildcats of Villa Rica. The Lady Wildcats are undefeated and should have revenge on their minds as the Lady Wolves eliminated them in the Final Four in last years matchup.
Hope to see everyone in Macon this Friday for this championship matchup. Tip Off is at 6:00 at the Macon Centreplex
