Lady Wolves Win Region Championship by Downing Mill Creek 57-40

The Lady Wolves down Mill Creek for third time this season to capture the region championship this past Wednesday night at Central High School.  

The Lady Wolves were in a physical battle for the first two quarters and found themselves with only a 3 point lead at halftime due to some miss opportunities and poor shooting from the 3 point line.  

The ladies from Buford turned up the defensive heat the second half and ran away with a 17 point victory to earn them their second region championship in as many years competing it class 7A.  They even held the Lady Hawks to no field goals in the 4th quarter in earning this victory.

Ava Grace Watson lead the Lady Wolves in scoring with 30 points.  Lydia Ledford added 11 points.  Izzy Rettiger had a team high 8 rebounds.

This gives the Lady Wolves another perfect 12-0 record in region play this year and a 24 - 3 record overall.

Next up will the the first round of the state playoffs next Tue or Wed at the Buford City Arena.  Details will be announced asap.

Way to go ladies and let's keep the train rolling into the state playoffs.
