The Lady Wolves opened up the holiday season at the Buford Arena with a 65 to 28 convincing win over visiting Cedar Shoals. The Lady Wolves jumped all over the visitors from Athens with their relentless full court defense in the first quarter and never looked back. The press caused double digit turn overs for the Lady Jaguars and Buford converted these into easy transition points. When the first quarter horn sounded, the Lady Wolves had a comfortable lead of 27 to 3. From there, Buford cruised to their first region win of the season and to an undefeated season record of 6-0.
Tory Ozment and Tate Walters lead the scoring with 9 points each followed by Audrey Weiner, Preston Reid and Casey Jones each scoring 8 points. In all, eleven different Lady Wolves contributed scoring in the win and all 17 players got valuable playing time.
The Lady Wolves will travel to region foe Loganville this Friday night for the second region game of the year. Tip off time is 7:00 pm, so everyone come out and cheer on the Kelly and Gold of Buford.
